Summary

Please allow me to introduce myself, I have worked in human services for several years as a Case Manager in several capacities; most recently working with formerly homeless individuals residing in supportive housing as well as for senior men with a history of homelessness with justice involvement in transitional housing; In working with these individuals, I utilized Critical Time Intervention in an effort to obtain permanent, supportive housing. I have worked as a Residence Manager for an SRO (Single Resident Occupancy) for mentally ill, chemical abusers and I have also worked as a Case Planner working to ensure that children were placed in a loving, caring, nurturing environment. In my capacity as a Case Manager I have had the opportunity to learn to utilize Motivational Interviewing in an effort to change the behavior of those who are ambivalent or dealing with insecurities. Apart from human services, I have also worked in the world of retail for several years. In each of these roles, I employed the following skills: communication, negotiating, mediation, problem solving and organizational skills. I am a personable and dedicated professional. I am also a solid team player with an upbeat, positive attitude. I consider myself to be results-oriented with a demonstrated passion for building working relationships and cultivating partnerships.
