Forklift Operator Duties
Operate forklifts safely to move blinds, shades, boxes, pallets, and raw materials throughout the warehouse.
Load and unload delivery trucks with finished products and supplies.
Transport materials between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas.
Stack and organize inventory in racks and designated warehouse locations.
Pick orders accurately for customer shipments and production requests.
Inspect products for damage before shipping or storage.
Maintain accurate inventory counts using scanners or warehouse systems.
Follow OSHA and company safety procedures at all times.
Perform daily forklift inspections and basic maintenance checks.
Assist with packaging, wrapping, labeling, and staging orders for shipment.
Keep warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Support production teams by supplying materials needed for blind assembly or manufacturing.
Help with receiving paperwork and shipping documentation when needed.
Work efficiently to meet shipping deadlines and production schedules.
Additional Skills Often Required
Forklift certification.
Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Experience with warehouse equipment and inventory systems.
Teamwork and communication skills.
