I am a Registered Nurse of 17 years. I began my start at McAester Regional Health Center as a nurse extern for one year, obtained my RN in 2008 with EOSC, and then my BSN with ECU in 2009. I have worked mostly with McAlester Regional Health Center my whole career. Most of my experience relies on SNF, inpatient rehab, and geriatric psych. I was a unit manager for approximately 1 year in 2014 and then MDS Coordinator the following year afterwards. I am currently pursuing my PMHNP at Midwestern State University. I began my psych journey pre-covid on the McAlester Regional Life Bridge Unit, as they continued to float me there due to staffing issues and ended becoming a part of their staff. Then there was more opportunity and higher pay at Saint Francis Muskogee with their BHU. I have worked on the BHU for the last 2 years, but currently employed on their Inpatient Rehab Unit. Currently looking for employment that will enhance my career goals and expertise.
