I was a children’s ministry resident whose responsibilities included making a monthly parent newsletter, planning events, planning curriculum for large groups, teaching Sunday school to ages 4-10, and directing volunteers.
I worked as a nanny for different families. I would provide care for their children, help them with their homework and other responsibilities. I would also do different activities with them such as crafts and out of the home activities.
I worked as a preschool coordinator at District Church. I was in charge of formulating a Sunday school curriculum that would meet the diverse learning needs of the many different children that come each Sunday. I was also the volunteer coordinator for all of our kids ministry, meaning that I would communicate with the volunteers at our church to ensure that we had all our positions filled and that they understood their responsibilities as a volunteer. I would be the lead pre-school teacher on Sundays as well, teaching them about different Bible stories.
I was a summer camp counselor at the City of Folsoms Summer Camp. I worked there for three summers and was promoted my last summer to be an on site lead. This job included communicating with parents to ensure that families were getting the best experience, leading large groups of children in various activities, and managing other camp counselors.
I worked in an after school care position for a program called STARS that was provided by the City of Folsom. For this program, I was in charge of helping students complete their homework, coming up with games and leading them, as well as communicating with parents about their children’s progress.
