Em Bang Long Nguyen

Hi there, my name is Em Bang Long Nguyen, and I recently graduated from Coding Dojo and San Jose State University's MIS program. During my time in school, I gained valuable experience working with the MERN stack, Python/Flask, and Spring Tool Suite. Originally from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, I came to the US in 2017 to pursue a degree in business. However, I quickly discovered my passion for computer science and how technology can be used to solve business problems. Throughout my academic career, I took courses in data management, business intelligence, project management, and programming. I also worked on real-world projects, gaining hands-on experience in applying my skills to practical business challenges. Being located in the heart of Silicon Valley provided me with access to a wealth of resources, including internships, networking opportunities, and exposure to some of the world's most innovative companies. In addition to my academic work, I also developed a project on GitHub that showcases my skills in web development using the MERN stack. My team and I built a comprehensive e-commerce platform with features such as product listings, shopping cart functionality, checkout processes, and payment gateways. We utilized React for the user interface, Node.js and Express for the server-side programming, and MongoDB for data storage. This project provided me with valuable experience in web development, database management, and teamwork.
