Work History

Structural Engineer III

Northrop Grumman
10.2021 - Current
  • Lead a team of 10 structural engineers to provide technical guidance, updates to leadership on completion times, and production support.
  • Generated accurate structural analysis reports outlining repair design options, assumptions, free body diagrams, calculations, and conclusions.
  • Performed primarily composite analysis related to out of autoclave composite joints (scarfs, pi preforms), and the associated MRB defects encountered during inspection.
  • Extracted applicable loads from Finite Element Models and appropriately applied them to traditional hand calculation methods as well as company-imposed procedures.
  • Utilized Fibersim and NX to capture appropriate geometry and engineering requirements in analysis.
  • Created and modified Finite Element Models to determine impacts from MRB defects.

Liaison Engineer III

Northrop Grumman
07.2017 - 10.2021
  • Responsible for designing structural repairs as part of the Material Review Board as well as the Interchangeability and Replaceability Board
  • Lead a team of six Liaison Engineers to produce consistent, accurate, and efficient dispositions while supporting Low Rate Initial Production of the F-35
  • Designed metallic repairs parts using CATIA V5 as well as structural composite layups
  • Supported efforts for process improvement including Standard Repair manuals, changes to work orders, and repair kits to streamline the production line.

College Intern

NASA Armstrong
06.2015 - 08.2016
  • Contributed towards the PRANDTL-M and PRANDTL-3 aircraft series by fabricating Small Unmanned Aircraft and performing subsequent flights tests
