Throughout my four years at Yaya Tea I trained under Chi Lee and Amy Wong as they taught me the importance of working well with others, working in a fast paced environment, ensuring exceptional customer service skills as well as managing my downtime correctly. I also was able to take the time to learn from my coworkers on memorizing the menu, the most efficient way to make drinks and food, and how to best manage the space during hectic times. Lifeguarding then allowed me to enhance my skills on remaining attentive and calm in situations that present themselves. I am able to use both jobs to best work in team environments but also have the independence to do what I personally need to get done to demonstrate my abilities as an employee.
