I have hands-on experience working with young children in both one-on-one and group settings, where I’ve created a fun, safe, and supportive environment for them to learn and grow. Whether leading group activities like games or crafts, or helping kids work through challenges like sharing or taking turns, I’ve learned how to guide with both patience and confidence. I enjoy collaborating with a team, communicating clearly, and stepping up when leadership is needed—whether that means organizing a group project or helping to keep the day running smoothly. Taking care of kids has taught me a lot about responsibility, adaptability, and how to lead with empathy.
I am a member of Omega Phi Alpha which is a national service sorority. Our sororities mission is to provide friendship, leadership, service and positive social change. This has appealed to me as I have been able to make a true impact in the community around me in a meaningful way. Each semester I have committed 10 service hours in service programs such as Nations of the World, Community at Large and the President's Project which focuses primarily on mental health. Each of these areas reflects our sororities core values that relate to service and giving back to the community. Being part of this sorority has provided me with a sense of purpose and direction by working collaboratively with others, making lasting friendships and connections along with building awareness for causes that I feel a personal pride towards. Omega Phi Alpha has helped me develop my confidence and team-building skills and given me the valuable experience of giving back in a socially responsibly way.
