Performs search, rescue, and recovery operations in a vertical or near vertical environment. Utilizes appropriate technical equipment and techniques in performing search, rescue, and recovery operations. Provides emergency medical treatment within the scope of certification and training.

• Provide site safety oversight and technical rescue standby including confined space rescue and technical rope rescue
• Assist in assessing risks, readying rescue equipment, and planning practical and effective solutions towards safe working practices that are in compliance with client standards
• If an incident should occur, the Rescue Technician must locate the patient, assess his or her injuries, package the patient for extrication, remove the patient from the threatening environment, and turn the patient over the EMS for medical attention and transport.
