Experiences

  • The Project iSED scholarship, provided by the Florida Department of Education, has greatly prepared me to work with students undergoing emotional and behavioral disorders within the school environment. Through this grant, I had the opportunity to work as an interdisciplinary team with ABA scholars, to expand my knowledge of an ABA-based intervention while applying my perception of social work. Skills I have developed from this scholarship include school-based coordination of mental health services, including strategies for family engagement, creating publication-quality scientific graphs using free software, numeric data collection, and technology.
