Reviews and processes pari-mutuel, cardroom, and slot machine occupational license applications initiated at the field offices or sent directly to Tallahassee.
Takes appropriate action in the licensing database to facilitate the issuance of a license for eligible applicants
Accurately profiles each application in the licensing database within 24 hours of receipt.
Identifies deficient applications and notifies applicant of the errors and/or omissions within 30 days.
Retrieves criminal history reports from the FDLE website; matches the criminal history with the application and determines whether further documentation is required from the applicant.
Answers general public inquiries regarding pari-mutuel, cardroom, and slot machine occupational licensing laws, rules and/or policies and procedures
Researches and requests license and enforcement status information from other gaming jurisdictions for each slot application; reviews information to determine applicant eligibility.
Analyzes reports of parole, conditional, conditional medical, control, and addiction recovery release violations submitted by the Department of Corrections staff and other states. Evaluates the nature and extent of alleged violations, to determine if Commission action should be taken with respect to the issuance of a warrant or amended warrant.
Processes revocation-hearing reports on parole, conditional, conditional medical, control, and addiction recovery release cases. Submits technical information and prepares orders to Commission by way of the docket for Commission decision.
Analyzes out-of-state hit reports to determine if the arrested subject is wanted by this agency.
Analyzes warrant dismissal requests sent to the central office from all FPC field staff. Calculates offender’s day for day service of sentence date by determining the length of supervision, researching and applying credit, for date of arrest, any time served on the current violations, and credit for prior violations and/or reinstatements. Maintains calendar of monthly dismissals and, at the appropriate time, processes release paperwork for the Department of Corrections for offenders housed in county jails, processes release paperwork, and teletypes to the appropriate FPC field office, the supervising officer, the county jail or the Department of Corrections all to facilitate the removal of the FPC hold and the offender’s release from custody.
Responds to written and verbal inquiries from inmates and members of the public with respect to individual revocation cases. Perform other duties required.
