  • Long history of volunteering (from visiting & reading to the children on the Burn Unit to providing much needed relief to the parents of our children on the Cancer Unit so they could go eat, shower, rest, cry, while entertaining their loved one)
  • AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA’s mission is to achieve health care equality and promote well-being for the LGBT and other underserved communities and people living with and effected by HIV) I partnered with this NP for several years as we would meet weekly to assist the youth with their homework).
  • NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness); I have been a leader & trained facilitator for monthly online Family Support Group as well as bi-annual trainings of others since 2021.
  • Malama Na Honu (Protect Hawaiian sea turtle through education, public awareness and conservation, in the Spirit of Aloha) I would walk the beaches & gave lots of community education regarding the honu that wash up to bask in the sun & have a snack of limu seaweed. We also identify and collect data for Marine Biologists at NOAA.
  • Pride of Honolulu (Hawaii LGBT+ Legacy Foundation) Every year I offer up my time for whatever the need is: share info, accept donations, sell merchandise, etc.
  • Conquer Chiari (The C & S Patient Education Foundation is dedicated to improving the experiences and outcomes of Chiari Malformation & Syringomyelia) Having had 14 brain surgeries myself for CM and 2 for Syringomyelia, I have pretty vast insider knowledge on these rare conditions & offer my time by answering questions and posting as a moderator.
  • Waikiki SPAM JAM Festival (A cultural tradition in Hawaii, and rated as one of the top annual food festival in Hawaii) Every year I offer up my time for whatever the need is: answer questions, accept donations or sell merchandise.
