Projects

Sediment Water Filter- Skills and Design II Course Spring 2025

Engineering a sediment filter with a capacity of 1L using AutoCAD. Calculation of turbidity levels and theoretical chemical removal levels using MatLAB. Presented methods, calculations, and experiment to peers and professor.

Beautiful Bridge Construction Project- Skills and Design I Course, Fall 2024

Built a paper deck bridge to withstand 10kg. Designed a separate deck bridge using iTruss. Calculated strain, stress, and projected cost values. Presented report on method, experiment, and calculations to peers and professor.

Hamster Evaluation Device- Environmental Design Lab Fall 2025

A device to monitor the well-being and kinetic data of a hamster, or small rodent, was designed. The design, circuit, and code for the Arduino was handled by a team of 3 students. This project was then presented to peers and the professor, where evaluation metrics, design process, and design improvement were discussed.

Coursework

  • Chemistry I & II with Lab, Learned principles and applications of chemistry. Conducted and reported various experiments on such topics.
  • Skills and Design I & II, Engineered two projects using CAD software. Applied engineering concepts to real world applications.
  • Foundations to Environmental Engineering, Applications of the basic principles and equations in environmental engineering. Discussion of quality control, management, and legislation.
  • GIS Applications for Civil & Environmental Engineers, Develop the understanding and skills of advanced GIS analysis techniques relevant to environmental applications, such as hydrological modeling, land use analysis, atmospheric modeling, ecological modeling, and landscape assessment.
  • Environmental Design Lab 1, An introduction to environmental monitoring and analysis through both traditional analytical techniques and innovative remote monitoring. Design practices and performance evaluation for stormwater, drinking water, and wastewater will be examined throughout the course. Strong data analysis and technical reporting will be required for each lab procedure.

Affiliations

I love to volunteer for Dr. Ghanoum, where I have learned how to socialize and collaborate in teams.

I actively participate creative activities around campus, such as our art club or the makers space, which host events.
