  • Engaging on a daily and weekly basis with housing providers, advocates for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and service providers, Forensic Navigator, Larimer County Jail Behavioral Health Director, Community Mental Health providers, and Jail Based Behavioral Services to advocate for participants to receive housing resources and supportive services, to refer to behavioral healthcare, and to coordinate outpatient restoration transition planning
  • Collaborated with 8th Judicial District Competency Court partners which resulted in participants with misdemeanor cases being brought in the Competency Court Docket where creative solutions are explored before a competency evaluation is ordered
  • Complete intakes, screenings, and assessments with participants going through the competency process to identify barriers, strengths, and needs for solutions-focused case management to facilitate engagement with forensic evaluators and restoration providers, and with behavioral health providers and community resources for long-term support
  • Train new employees and an intern in competency process, transition planning for participant is custody, neutral, story-telling report writing, and safety practices when meeting with participants
  • Support individuals being diverted from the competency system due to their behavioral health and/or competency history by connecting them with long-term services
