At Catch Steak I began working as a nightlife hostess. I worked the door in partner with the nightlife manager and the security. My task was to greet clients that were buying tables and or going to the bar and to show them to their section. I would take their card information and ID and write everything down on the envelope. I would then place the two cards in the envelope and seal it up. Lastly, I would hand the envelope to the bottle girl serving that clients specific table and let the client know the bottle girls name ect. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 I lost my position at Catch Steak as they shut their lounge down.
My roll at Gitano was to stand and greet costumers at the front of the house. The tasks I had were to check in reservations on the "Open Table" application. I also was tasked with making reservations and seating people in designated sections. Giving costumers the proper amount of menus and having a friendly/bubbly personality. Lastly, at the end of the night my tasks were to clean tables, collect menus and anything remaining on the tables and overall clean our station. This job taught me how important creating relationships and a community within your work place with your co-workers is. I felt as though we had such a tight knit 'family' of co-workers.
