• I also worked as the pediatric cardiology nurse for the outreach program twice per month. Responsibilities included assisting the medical team from Omaha Childrens, scheduling patients from all referrals. ECG and vital signs were obtained in these visits.
• other duties in the pediatric clinic include flu shot clinics, catheterization, medication administration, nebulizer treatments, laboratory blood draws and other testing for acute illness. acute care clinics and well child checks.

Assisting with mohs procedures and excisions of skin cancers and other dermatologic abnormalities needing intervention. preparing biopsies, administering local anesthesia, nerve blocks, eye shields, surgical assisting and removal of sutures and staples. patient education pre and postoperatively. pathology results given and proper education on diagnosis and treatment.

This clinic had an in house lab where I was trained to handle the skin specimens and prepare them to be processed into blocks and slides for them to be read by dermatopathologist.
