Previous and Current Projects

I Health: Championed clinic roll out of joint venture with OB Physicians group I Health. Developed charting guidelines and nursing tools for clinical staff. Had daily 1:1 communication with APPs and RNs providing these new healthcare services to pregnant patients in the Edina infusion room. Created educational Powerpoint  for staff, is still referenced and used now as I Health rolled out to other clinics in the system.

Aranesp: Co-Chaired workgroup to improve the ESA therapy, Aranesp. Workflow was causing dissatisfaction and waste for both clinical team and patients. Helped create educational handout for patients and providers at the start of ESA therapy. Created and presented educational Powerpoint about Aranesp workflow changes to providers, clinical staff, CIR team, and nursing leadership. Continues to overlook success and roll out of this project in clinic.

NCCN Distress Thermometer Under Utilization: Participated in workgroup to analyze and change the process and frequency in which we assess patients on the NCCN Distress Thermometer tool upon coming into clinic. Patient's voicing dissatisfaction and staff observing inaccuracy of assessment in previous workflow. Brought pilot of this project to Chaska clinic and oversaw implementation of changes made to protocol with success and later roll out to all sites.

EOM & RNCC: Co-chair of the RNCC Lead workgroup that meets monthly to provide education, communication, and conversation within the Nurse Care Coordinators of all the clinic sites. First major project included educating these staff about EOM and the changes to their everyday processes that were needed. Educated all clinical staff at Edina, Chaska and Waconia sites through nursing meetings and 1:1s to bring this change in their workflows.

Health Equity: Participates in Health Equity workgroup run by Alice, the Quality Program Manager. Recent submission of our EOM Health Equity Plan to CMS and currently reviewing feedback from BCBS on our initial practice assessment for our BCBS Racial Health Equity Certification.
