Taught 20 students in a full-day Kindergarten class, with the assistance of a Paraprofessional. Planned and implemented whole class, small group, and one-on-one instruction using developmentally appropriate practice. Set-up classroom, daily schedule, and monthly hallway bulletin board. Attended bi-weekly staff meetings.

• Participated in week-long Reading First workshops; devised new literacy activities and established a print-rich classroom environment; instilled a love for literacy in students.
• Utilized learning centers, technology, and manipulatives to introduce new topics and reach out to each child.

Assisted senior teachers in managing a writing center to help students with academic writing deficiencies. Developed course materials, exams, and extracurricular projects for English literature courses.

• Managed 25 students per class by providing an engaging environment during lectures and group projects, encouraging critical thinking and active participation around controversial topics.
• Incorporated authorial audio-visual aids into English language lessons to facilitate students’ understanding of the subject and help them hone their academic writing skills.
• Took part in the teaching of 150 students of 4–8th grades by monitoring their academic progress and discussing new ways to improve their writing and oral test scores.
• Maintained active communication with fellow teachers during weekly meetings regarding students’ performance and provided suggestions to improve teaching curricula.
