Volunteering with American Heart Association to drive awareness of heart disease being the #1 killer of women. I was humbled to be nominated as a 2024 Women of Impact winner to be honored alongside the other women who were chosen as 2024's winners for our philanthropy work with AHA.

American Heart Association Louisiana Legislature Liason

Consistently met with Louisiana congressional members in-session on behalf of American Heart Association. Our mission was to increase awareness of much needed legislation and funding to increase access to life-saving AED's (automated external defibrillators) in every school, public and government building and include state subsidies for private business owners to compel them to make AED's accessible in their offices/buildings. We worked tirelessly for the Fall and Spring legislative sessions to craft and get support of the legislation passed in each of those sessions.
