Maintain weekly in person staffing to review case progress, delays, or concerns regarding licensed foster homes or applications; schedule expedited status meetings when needed; attend weekly licensure south staffing, and be prepared with 7W and 7C updates; submit 3rd level reviews in a timely manner; Assist Specialist with SAFE Home Study process; Review SharePoint files; Utilize Progressive Discipline with Specialist to address areas needing coaching, areas needing improvement, review of expectations, concerns when needed; Send statewide placement request for region 7W; Review and sign timesheets, travel, sign in/out sheets, leave requests, and monthly calendars; Assist with after hours on call responsibilities, ex. locate placement, contact on call specialists statewide, obtain an updated availability list for region 7W; Plus additional supervisory tasks
Create and maintain case files for foster homes; Complete SAFE home studies in a timely manner; Assist county workers when a child needs a placement; Make phone calls to available foster parents so a place can be identified; On-call for after-hours situations; Communicate with families, service providers, parents, foster parents, and the public; Communicate and coordinate with other units of the agency to serve children-in-care; Recruit foster parents at events that are often held after-hours and on weekends (rotating with other staff members); Make thorough assessments of foster care homes so children will be safe and have their needs met; Assist with shadowing new hires or showing job responsibilities to interns in the office; Attend and participate in court hearings, county conferences, Adoption Status Meetings and stakeholder meetings, as needed; Make contact with licensed foster homes monthly.
