Emily Moore

Emily Moore was a student studying Illustration. She is a great communicator, a fast learner, and a multitasker. She has 3 years of retail experience. Emily is passionate about communicating well with customers, other team members, and employers. She greatly values providing kind, helpful, and efficient service. • Whole Foods Market/E Commerce Team Trainer, 09/01/22, 07/01/23, I was hired at Whole Foods as an online shopper, quickly assimilated into the culture of the team, and was promoted after 2 months to the position of Team Trainer. In this role, I trained multiple people a week. The team of in-store shoppers was large, with employees coming and going regularly, resulting in a steady stream of ongoing training, which I helped provide. My responsibilities included performing in-store shopper duties, giving hands-on training, facilitating and tracking employee-required online courses, operating as a substitute supervisor, and overseeing multiple shifts a week. Skills that were needed daily included: clear communication with diverse team members, and accommodating training to various learning styles to equip team members best and create a collaborative culture. This position required problem-solving, supporting team members, navigating conflict, and "leading up" to my employers. In addition to supporting my team, I was often asked to substitute for other teams in the store.
• Retail Facilitator (given more responsibilities), The Fudge Shoppe in Flemington NJ, Flemington, NJ, 10/01/20, 04/01/22, I worked at a family-owned chocolate store that was started in 1961. The store is a great part of the community and is well known. My position included checking out and serving the customers efficiently, kindly, and ensuring they felt cared for. We served chocolate and fudge made fresh. Another huge part of the job was product care. Ensuring freshness, packaging products, filling cases, setting up displays, upholding sanitary standards, and cleaning. Great communication and multitasking skills were a must for this position. I would run the storefront with the retail team and fulfill orders in person, over the phone, online orders and I assisted our mail team. After a little more than 6 months of working there I was involved in facilitator/leadership meetings. I was a team member that others looked up to and I frequently would train new employees. I would strive to think ahead and ensure the whole team worked well and efficiently. I loved working at the Fudge Shoppe and left to pursue other opportunities.
• Substitute Teacher, Miss Janet's Sunshine Schoolhouse in Flemington NJ, Flemington, NJ, 08/01/20, 09/01/20, I worked as a substitute teacher/ caregiver at this daycare. I worked in the baby room. We had between 7 to 10 babies each day. There were 3 teachers at a time who worked together to care for them and put into motion each of their individual schedules. We took care of playing, feeding, and nap time, etc.
• Studio Tech, Cairn University in Langhorne PA, Langhorne, PA, 2019, 2020, I worked in the art studios while attending university. My job included cleaning, organizing, overseeing materials, ordering new materials, prep, and helping and being available for students. In addition, I was a student representative for the art department when we hosted galleries of outside artists and I was part of the setup and tear down for galleries/events.

• Fine Arts/Illustration/Design - Art is an incredible form of expression and communication. There's beauty in grasping and understanding the process of a medium and conveying the diversity of human thought. I love to show both mundane and complex subjects in my work.
• Team Player - Volunteering, in both leadership and support capacities, has developed a priority to see the whole team and the whole organization succeed.
