Paraprofessional II, I work under the supervision of a teacher to support student learning and classroom management. I assist with various tasks, including lesson preparation, student support, and administrative duties, often focusing on students with special needs.

• Assisting with instruction: This involves helping students understand lessons, working with them individually or in small groups, and reinforcing learning concepts.
• Supporting classroom management: I helped maintain a positive and organized learning environment by monitoring student behavior, minimizing distractions, and ensuring a safe environment.
• Providing individualized support: I work one-on-one with student who need extra help, including those with special needs, and help them participate in classroom activities.
• Assisting with administrative tasks: Include preparing materials, grading assignments, tracking student progress, and communicating with parents.
• Supervising students: Responsible for supervising students during recess, lunch, or on field trips.
• Working collaboratively with teachers: I participated in lesson planning, communicate with the teacher about student progress, and work as a team to support student learning.
• Fostering a positive learning environment: My work involved encouraging students, providing emotional support, and promoting a sense of belonging in the classroom, according to the Atlanta Public Schools.
• Special education support: special education settings may have additional responsibilities related to the specific needs of students with disabilities.
