Phd candidate in computational neuroscience. My research projects includes data analysis and modeling of brain functions utilized by neural networks. In my work I use a wide range of analytic skills, which include: dynamical systems, stochastic processes, statistics etc. Numerically, I'm experienced with Matlab and Python, where I use packages such as: Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, Tensor-flow, Keras etc.

Undergraduate student in the School of Biomedical Engineering (SBME) of the University of British Columbia, former teaching assistant and course preparation group member for the biomedical-related thermodynamics course (BMEG 210). A committed student with great interest in the research field and getting involved in academics. Devoted to working under supervision from professionals, facilitating innovative problem-solving skills, and practicing rigorous academic attitude with high standard.

Hamidreza Aftabi is currently a research assistant at HCT Lab and ISTAR group at the Department of ECE, University of British Columbia. Hamidreza's research is mainly focused on Surgical Simulations, Biomechanics, Machine Learning, and Robotics. He is passionate about improving patients' quality of life by devising computational models that could be utilized for developing assistive and rehabilitative devices.

I am a 3rd year MSc Structural Engineering student. I specialized in structural and construction in my undergraduate degree. Upon pursuing graduate studies in structural engineering, I’m hoping to find a job for me to translate my knowledge into the industry.
