I am currently working in the after-school program at Sunrise Elementary School as a dinner staff member, as well as a ballet folklórico and soccer instructor.

• I worked as an educational assistant, where I assisted the teacher who needed help, covered for the teacher for a few minutes, and substituted for teachers when they were absent, taking over the class during the program.
• Sometimes, when staff are short, and an adult is needed to cover another class for a few minutes, I usually cover the other class for a while.
• Provided individualized instruction to students to improve their academic performance.
• Provided individualized support for struggling learners.
• Collaborated with other instructors on curriculum development projects and interdisciplinary initiatives.
• Created a positive learning environment by establishing open communication with students, parents and colleagues.

During my senior year, I decided to be an English teacher's assistant in one of her classes during the school year.

• Compiled resources such as books, videos, charts for use in classrooms.
• Collected data on student performance and behavior.
• Assisted teachers in preparing and organizing materials for classroom activities.
• Graded exams, assignments, and recorded grades.
