Experienced observing a music therapist for a day. Met with a music therapist at Masonic Care Community nursing home in Utica, NY. Observed the music therapist's sing alongs which included songs familiar to the older adults while playing the guitar and using small percussion instruments. Amazed to see these older adults so happy while singing along and playing the instruments as well. One unforgettable experience-seeing one of them cry because the song that the music therapist sang brought back so many memories for them.
