This job was an office-based job that required me to know how to work all Microsoft Office apps. On a normal day, I would do a lot of data entry, reviewing and analyzing small details checking for mistakes. I would need to keep a record of the tracking of aircraft, aircraft history, maintenance, engine status, Time Change Tech Orders (TCTO), aircraft Hourly Post Flight (HPO) hours, aircraft service life, time change items, etc. Performs debriefing, scheduling, inspection tracking, coordination of outside support, and other various functions IAW appropriate Tech Orders (TO), Manuals, Regulations, and Instructions. Must be able to retrieve maintenance data to project maintenance events that impact operations. Briefs higher level IMDS personnel and supervision with scheduled events. Works with maintenance supervision to ensure maintenance actions are completed on time. Ensures data entered into IMDS by lower technical levels is complete and accurate. Develops training programs, materials, and trains employees. Performs related clerical functions associated with Maintenance Control such as updating status boards, obtaining and distributing forms, or other duties as directed by the supervisor. Requires the application of experience and judgment in selecting procedures to be followed in searching for, interpreting, selecting, or coding items to be entered from a variety of source documents.
