My usual clinic I work in is ENT/ Audiology. I have been working as an Administrative Assistant and in a Scope Tech Role during my time at UH.
I am currently working a full time position as a Clinical Administrative Assistant at UH. I was hired into the Otolaryngology and Audiology outpatient clinic at Parma UH. I have learned and worked in many other outpatient clinics such as Cardiology, Sleep Medicine, Pain Management, Breast Center, and Urology throughout my time here. I have my BLS certification. I have experience with insurance verification, ordering office supplies, scheduling/ registration, answering phones, faxing and other secretarial duties. I also have experience with rooming patients, taking vitals, and charting. Furthermore I have been trained and have had up to date competencies in endoscope sterilization/ processing as well as instrument sterilization and cleaning patient rooms.
I am currently working a second part-time job as a Shift Manager with responsibilities including running/ managing different shifts and hours. Responsible for balancing drawers and safe as well as opening and closing the store and processing sales/ paperwork for the cafe. Obtained customer service skills with answering phones, processing online and catering orders. Other responsibilities include managing and ordering produce and other foods. Obtained a Serve Safe Certification as required by the Ohio Department of Health.
I worked as a Hostess and would occasionally buss tables when staffing was short. I developed customer service skills via answering phones and making reservations. I also took room service orders as this restaurant was in a Sheraton Hotel. I learned how to balance a cash drawer and drop a final cash deposit.
