My name is Emily Wood, I am a 2023, VCU graduate trying to branch out my skills in new working environments! My jobs typically have been in the restaurant business in various positions such as: server, hostess, and bartender. This has allowed me to strengthen my communication, multitasking, and fast-paced adaptive skills. My degree in Human Centered Culture and Politics is an interdisciplinary degree with minors in psychology, political science, and Italian culture. My initial goal was to study political behavior and human patterns on a global/international scale. Now I have come to realize that I needed to start within my own community first! My Italian minor taught me how to study and appreciate a completely different culture, language, and society. I believe that it is crucial to helping the community for intersectional outreach on mental health, understanding, and awareness.
