Led a team of 20 high school seniors to advocate for a peer-mentoring and social-emotional learning program that was dissolved at John F. Kennedy High School. Surveyed four population groups resulting in over 700 responses, interviewed and communicated with stakeholders and decision-makers on campus, and presented at the Sacramento City Unified School District School Board meeting to raise awareness about the program and our efforts. Created a document summarizing our advocacy efforts and shared it with district staff. Worked with the district staff to develop a grant proposal and was awarded the grant to help bring back the program.
