  • Throughout my time at AKP I worked a few different roles, starting as a teacher. My job as a teacher was centered around providing a safe, fun space for children ages 6 weeks-12 years to come play, learn, and engage with different people and activities. I was in charge of making sure all kids were fed, diapered and having fun! As a manager, my main job was supervising staff, assigning the schedule and daily positions, and making sure everything was running smoothly and everyone was safe. My daily tasks included answering phones and emails, checking customers in and out, scanning and filing paperwork, assigning staff breaks, and walking through the center to supervise. Additionally as the Assistant Activities Director, I planned daily games, crafts and other activities for each age group, and planned theme night events and parties every weekend. Working at AKP strengthened my ability to thrive in a leadership position, and taught me the meaning of excellent customer service.
