Last year, I was selected for the United Soccer Coaches High School Scholar All-America Team, was an active member of the National Honor Society, the National Honor Society of Math, English, History, and Science/Chemistry, was awarded Medal for Highest GPA for Algebra 2 Honors for 2021-22, received student of the Marking Period for English Honors, Student of the Marking Period for Algebra 2 Honors. Also had a 4.0 GPA and was a member of the Humanities Academy (took college classes at Stockton University).
In soccer, I led the Shore Conference in assists as a junior (had 27 career assists), had 28 career goals (18 my senior year), made First Team All-Shore, First Team All-County, First Team All-Division, All State, Ocean County Player of the Year, A-South Player of the Year, was a captain while we won a state title as well as our conference for the first time in program history, was named a top 20 Player in NJ, Nominated for United Soccer Coaches Academic All American.
I also received the Scholar Athlete Award my freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior year.
The United Soccer Coaches High School Scholar All-America Team honors high school soccer players who excel both on the field and in the classroom. To be eligible for nomination, players must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.75 or higher (on a 4.0 scale). Additionally, all nominees are required to have demonstrated recognized excellence in high school soccer and have engaged in community service at the local, regional, or national level.
Receiving the United Soccer Coaches High School Scholar All-America Team award is a tremendous honor. It means being recognized for not only your athletic skill on the soccer field but also your dedication and excellence in academics. It shows that I have balanced both academics and athletics at a high level, demonstrating discipline, time management, and commitment.
It also reflects on all of my contributions to the community, recognizing me as someone who is well-rounded and uses my platform for good. It's an acknowledgment that I have put in hard work, not only in the sport I love but also in my education and personal growth. For many athletes, including myself, it's a stepping stone that can open doors for scholarships, college recruitment, and future opportunities, all while representing your school and community with pride.
