A volunteer project, outside of school, close to my heart was ‘Honoring our Bodies’ through our church girl’s group. We established a wish list through an Amazon account and then set up a Facebook page. With the donations, we finished the project with 130 girl backpacks which included washable, reusable feminine products. The backpacks were delivered to churches in Haiti where our church mission group travels each year. Next, I volunteered at Tannenbaum Golf Club. I helped in the cart shed, with special golf tournaments, and various other duties. My most rewarding volunteer experience has been working with a local church in our school clothes closet. I work one hour every Friday to clean and organize clothes that are donated. I also took the lead on our 2021 school Christmas food drive. Working with the girl’s project, the golf course, the clothes closet, and the food drive have provided many opportunities for me to serve my community and make lifelong friends while working toward a common goal. I also did Basketball - for 4 years, Lady Eagle Golf - for 4 years, FCCLA, Softball, and Cross Country manager.
