Leadership/Awareness

Selected out of many applicants to be one of two community outreach chairs for the University of Miami's Ocean Awareness Week E-board. Entitled to many responsibilities such as coordinating events, collaborating with social media chairs, and communicating with local businesses with the overall goal of raising awareness. Entrusted to lead the executive team of O.A.W. in community engagement and to lead by example. Community outreach chairs are expected to be involved in activities, social media, and fundraising. Additionally, they hold the responsibility of leading the community and increasing the engagement of the University of Miami students    

Additional Information

Attended a school trip with the University of Miami's Scuba Club to Bimini, Bahamas where students completed 6 boat dives throughout one weekend and dove with Caribbean Reef sharks. Students learned to collaborate with one another and practice new scuba diving techniques.
