  • Speech Therapist Specialist and Program Manager: Key member of a six-person clinical practice specialist team establishing effective, efficient workflows for comprehensive clinical management of therapy services for 22,800 children in Northern California. Most recently, in 2024, worked on a Leadership driven initiative to “internalize” all externally provided speech therapy and occupational therapy, reducing externally referrals by 50% as a direct result of our support to transition children with speech-language and developmental delays from providers to return for in-plan re-evaluations and therapy services at Kaiser.
  • Provide education, training and mentorship to internal Kaiser SLP's and to external vendor SLPs/Private Practice to support, educate emphasizing 5 key components of medically necessary care: skilled intervention, functional goals, care coordination, evidence-based practice, & discharge planning.
  • Assisted in the design, development, and implementation of the first regional and virtual Parent Orientation training program, annual attendees 1400. Wrote a new curriculum integrating behavioral and speech therapy.
  • Created & implemented speech therapy training curriculum vetted & endorsed by KP Leadership, KP Legal Team & housed in KP branded provider PowerPoint presentations used to educate & guide to our contracted KP Speech Therapy Providers.
  • Lead innovation and support senior leadership by addressing strategic issues. Strategy and program development, market assessments, implementation of new service lines, healthcare policy, risk management, and change management.
  • In a team of six, in 2018 authored and promoted the first regional pediatric speech therapy diagnostic and treatment guidelines, still in use today.
  • Introduced data-driven quality improvement audit for vendor-provided therapy services to 22,800 patients, yielding actionable insights to make informed decisions enhancing therapy programming. Created three new regional service lines: 1) Speech Therapy Care Pathway for Adults with Autism 2) Parent-implemented therapy program: Hanen More Than Words 3) Patient Care Experience/Parent Outreach.
