Volunteer Work

I have worked with a variety of different community organizations throughout the Baton Rouge area. The main organizations I worked with were the Baton Rouge Food Bank, The Gardere Initiative, St. Vincent De Paul, and Live to Serve. I have sorted and helped bag food for the food bank, as well as donated items. At the Gardere Initiative, I worked with children during the summer on reading, writing and math skills to help them prepare for the next grade. I also did different fun activities and created connections with the kids. St. Vincent De Paul allowed me to prepare and serve hot meals to families struggling with food insecurity. The Live to Serve organization is an after school program where I was able to play and do activities with children who have difficult home lives.
