I was hired during my student teaching to take over a third grade classroom. I had to start from scratch in the classroom to build up new classroom expectations with both students and parents. I am learning a lot still, but have learned more from this experience than I could have ever dreamed. This challenge has taught me how to navigate new experiences that I may not be fully confident in, how to ask my colleges around me for help, and how to use love and logic to build relationships with both students and parents that lead to exponential growth both in and out of the classroom.
