Duquesne Speech Language-Hearing Clinic
  • Speech Production: Experienced in working with both children and adults in a speech production clinic. Treated clients with dysarthria, phonological disorders, and articulation disorders using individualized, evidence-based approaches. Focused on improving speech clarity and communication across age groups.

Clinical Practicum Highlights

  • VUA Videostroboscopy Evaluation: Conducted thorough voice evaluations using the VALI assessment system, analyzing videostroboscopy recordings to assess glottal closure patterns, amplitude, and vocal fold edge integrity. Used videostroboscopy to establish diagnosis and findings.
  • LD & A Evaluation: Evaluated an adult AAC user and provided training for both the client and caregivers to effectively use and navigate the communication device, enhancing functional communication skills.
  • ICAN Talk Camp: Worked one-on-one with an adult AAC user during the ICAN Talk AAC camp, supporting daily communication tasks such as visiting museums, going to the mall, and social interactions.
