My three years at CVS gave me a professional customer service experience. I supported daily store operations by accurately processing transactions, assisting customers with over-the-counter health products, and maintaining a kind and respectful front-end experience during 8-hour shifts. I frequently interacted with customers seeking health-related items while maintaining professionalism and awareness of privacy and safety standards. Contributing to a clean, organized, and well-stocked store, demonstrating reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to perform consistently in a fast-paced setting were all very important to me, and still are in everything that I do.
I spent a little under a year working with Rite Aid, and enjoyed the customer service aspect, along with the inventory aspect of the job. The biggest part of this job for me, was the cashiering and shelf stocking, which I quickly became familiar with. It was relatively easy for me to pick up on the computer programs that were used for the cashiering part of my job, and I enjoyed this piece, as I was very efficient at it. Another part of my job with Rite Aid was keeping up on cleaning and sanitary aspects of the store. It was routine for me to sanitize, sweep, and take out the trash within the interior and exterior of the store. I felt I was very good at this, as I prioritize cleanliness, especially in my work environment. I enjoyed working with others, during my time at Rite Aid, and I feel as though it gave me a lot of experience with working with others and improved my communication skills, along with my ability to be flexible with coworkers (covering shifts, moving shifts, switching tasks, etc).
My position at J&F Farms consisted of cashiering, stocking and restocking farm produce, baked goods, meats, beverages, etc. My duties also included cleaning, customer service, and other responsibilities. Through my experience with J&F Farms I became knowledgeable and experienced on how to open and close a store. I became educated and trained on how to handle customers which I found enjoyable. I would also commonly answer phone calls, answering questions and taking down wholesale orders from customers.
Keeping the stand clean, safe and appealing to customers would be one of my top priorities while working at J&F Farms. Other responsibilities I had included training new employees, corn shucking, lifting items up to 55 lbs. and plant watering. The thing I enjoyed most working at J&F Farms was the social interaction and customer service piece of my job, and I look forward to working similar duties at my next job.
