I have been dedicated to my musical advances since the first opportunity arose my 6th grade year in 2015 (through the Allen Independent School District). I have been in numerous orchestras through the years, and it has been my pride and joy. I am passionate about violin and playing with an orchestra, as well as pursuing other musical skills. I strive to keep growing and improving.
I am now in the second highest orchestra. I have definitely been pushed as a violinist, but have seen major growth in my musicianship. Through this ensemble, I have been able to engage in exciting opportunities!
Being in the third highest orchestra out of six, Sinfonia I, we played more skillful pieces. Unfortunately, the COVID pandemic cut our performance plans short, but I still grew as a musician!
I started playing more complex pieces with the ensemble. During this time, I was in the second highest Orchestra, Sinfonia. For our Spring concert, I was the Concert Master for one of the pieces.
From 2015-2016, I learned the basics of playing violin within an orchestra ensemble. I grew on those skills and progressed through the differing orchestra levels, eventually placing in the highest orchestra by 2017.
Advanced Music
Being in Chamber II at Allen High School, I am required to complete an Advanced Music course in addition to and in affiliation with my Orchestra class period. Through this course, I have learned/done:
- Music Therapy
- Musical elements used in effective movie soundtracks
