• The Health and Demographic Surveillance System (HDSS) projects are designed to monitor population dynamics and health outcomes in regions lacking formal civil registration systems
• These projects focus on collecting comprehensive demographic data, including population trends, migration patterns, immunization rates, socioeconomic indicators, births, deaths, morbidity, and more
• With a longitudinal study involving over 270,000 participants in western Kenya, these projects have been continuously gathering valuable insights since their inception in 2001.
