- Collaboration: Coordinated, planned, and integrated Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA) with local, tribal, state, and federal agencies throughout FEMA Region 2 (NY, NJ, PR, and USVI). Developed and promoted critical partner relationships within military, civilian, and intergovernmental/agency organizations.

- Problem-Solving/Judgment: Responded to, deployed, and supported the Lead Federal Agency throughout the Caribbean area of responsibility, as directed. Provided subject matter expertise for state and federal emergency response plans, emergency preparedness, and advance coordination for Base Support Operations.

- Flexibility/Adaptability: Represented the DoD in disaster areas while supporting FEMA, and facilitating coordination with supporting federal agencies. Prepared to receive and integrate NORTHCOM JTF, Command & Control assigned Soldiers, Department of the Army Civilians, and other active-duty forces deployed in support of Homeland Disaster Support and Defense.

- Leadership: Led and mentored a Signal Company of 52 soldiers in direct support of an Armored Brigade Combat Team, responsible for their training, care, and sustainment.

- Organizing and planning: Enabled the Brigade communication enterprise for combat during Large Scale Ground Combat Operations, over 3,000 soldiers with upper TI services (Satellite Transmission Team, Joint Network Node system, and Terrestrial Transmission Line of Sight Radio), security (Secure Secure Mobile Anti-jam Reliable Tactical Terminal), lower TI (3 Frequency Retransmission Teams), and numerous other combat and non-combat systems valued at over $138,000,000.

- Communication: Effectively communicated operational requirements and coordinated efforts in joint and interagency settings with leadership at the GO/SES level, while simultaneously working with local, state, and territorial leadership to ensure seamless communication during combat operations.

- Leadership: Led a battalion communication section of 20 soldiers in direct support of a 155 mm field artillery battalion. Responsible for the battalion communication assets supporting over 500 soldiers with Joint Capability Release systems, high-frequency radios (digital and voice), SATCOM, and numerous other combat and non-combat systems (valued at over $138,000,000) for large-scale ground operations.

- Communication: Effectively communicated operational requirements and coordinated efforts across multiple battalions and echelons to ensure seamless communication during combat operations.

- Achievements: Developed a high-frequency digital capability, enabling artillery units to execute fire missions across multiple countries, improving their reliability, range, and versatility (something never seen before) and with this achievement, changing the way artillery fights in combat operations.

- Initiative: Led a Cavalry Troop in an Armored Reconnaissance Unit, responsible for building and maintaining a professional, highly trained, cohesive reconnaissance team of 13 NCOs and 15 junior enlisted personnel.

- Organizing and planning: Managed the accountability, maintenance, and tactical deployment of 6 M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicles, weapons, sensors, communications equipment, optics, and UBL, valued in excess of $20,000,000.

- Problem-Solving/Judgment: Successfully executed reconnaissance missions in diverse and challenging environments, adapting tactics and strategies to achieve mission objectives overseas during deployments, and at home station.
