PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Solar Tennis Ball Collector - Designed an autonomous robot that is used to roam around and collect tennis balls while being.

         - Designed, prototyped, and developed multiple individual PCBs throughout the project.

         - Using a Raspberry Pi camera, the tennis balls were able to be tracked due to the difference in hue.

         - I2C and UART were used for communication between the Raspberry Pi and an ATMEGA microcontroller.

         - Ultrasonic Sensors (HCSR04) were used for obstacle avoidance.

         - Micro Limit switches were used as an added precaution to any collisions.

         - I2C was used to display battery charge and solar panel energy production on a small lcd screen.

         - Guided and conducted PCB and hardware design, motor functionality and powering, solar panel implementation.

         - Collaborated with group members on the implementation of UART, I2C, camera, sensors, and overall circuit design and schematics.

         - Lead and organized my team by assigning roles in order to maintain balance and productivity within the group, planned meetings, and deadlines for different tasks.

Rangefinder - Designed a small rangefinder used to determine multiple distances to an object with the use of an ultrasonic sensor.

        - Designed and  prototyped PCB throughout the project.

        - The design of this project required the implementation of an MSP430 microcontroller.

        - Ultrasonic Sensors (HCSR04) were used to approximate the distance to an object.

        - A small LCD screen was used to display the distance that was approximated by the Ultrasonic sensor.
