• Check all the operating rooms and equipment to assess their functionality every morning before work resumes.
• Preoperative visits to the patients in their rooms prior to their arrival to the operating room.
• Ensure the sterile supplies are ready for the entire day’s procedures.
• Perform the surgical checklists prior to letting patient into the operating room.
• Ensure that timeout is performed prior to incision on the patient.
• Ensure traffic is controlled within the operating room during surgery.
• Prepare equipment like ESU, microscope, ligature machine, laser and others.
• Count sponges, sharps, and instruments before, during and after surgeries.

• Wound care assessment and management specific to the wound type: burns, abscess, laceration, abrasion
• Proper documentation as regard patient’s health status.
• Pressure sores and ensuring wound cultures are taken.
• Performing 12 lead EKG for chest pain or abnormal heart rhythm and telemetry assessment.
• Insertion, pleural fluid aspiration, central line placement, endotracheal intubation, paracentesis, suturing.
• Monitors the hemodynamic status of patient.
• Monitor blood glucose level of the patient
• Oxygen administration.
• Administers medication via oral, nasal, optic, ophthalmic, intravenous, rectal, intramuscular and subcutaneous route.
• IV insertion and lab draw for adults and pediatric patients.
