Emmary Faerber

• As a coach, the most important skills I gained were how to effectively explain complex concepts to new debaters. I learned how to teach others to think critically, and how to carry out productive discussions that would then apply in a competitive setting. Lastly, I learned how to give meaningful feedback to students that would advance their knowledge and skills in Lincoln Douglas Debate.

• Assisted with assimilation and bridging the gap between cross-cultural divides through translation and learning different ways of life.
• Supported Refugee families in building community.
• Used strong interpersonal communication skills to convey information to others, especially when helping kids with their English

Dishwasher, prepared food, ensured food and workplace safety, customer service skills, and worked with peers.

• As a Server at the Tamarack, I developed skills necessary for customer service and stock management. These include effective communication, patience, personability, memory, management, and organization.
