Work History

Research Assistant

University Of Nevada Reno
08.2018 - Current

Experimental campaigns at Omega Laser Facility focusing on plasma diagnostics:

  • Modeling of hot dense plasma relevant for implosion core experiments. Development of Kr emissivity and opacity database to diagnose plasma conditions.
  • Kr Multi-Monochromatic X-ray Imager (MMI) diagnostic design to obtain time gated, spatially resolved Kr K-shell spectra.
  • Data processing and analysis of Kr line emission to obtain electron temperature and density distributions in the plasma. Utilized these results to calculate thermal transport, pressure distributions and bremsstrahlung emission in the core.

Experimental campaigns at Zebra pulsed power machine at University of Nevada, Reno.

  • Diagnostic set up: laser interferometry, spectrometers, schlieren imaging and pinhole imaging.
  • Vacuum systems and supersonic gas nozzle operation

Research Intern

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, LLNL
05.2022 - 08.2022
  • Developed data processing algorithm for National Ignition Facility opacity experimental campaign with Dr. Robert Heeter.
  • Led spectroscopic analysis of magnetized shock experiments in Omega EP as part of the Magnetized ICF campaign with Dr. John Moody.

Research Intern

Max Planck Institute For Nuclear Physics
03.2018 - 06.2018
  • Study of krypton dielectronic recombination in Electron Beam Ion Trap (EBIT)
