Accomplishments

  • Since taking on the Executive Director of the MBA role in March 2020, I grew the MBA student numbers by over 1001% from 51 students on the MBA programme in March 2020 to 571 students across all portfolios (FT, PT, Online, Poland campus, Senior Leader MBA Apprenticeship, Top Ups, and TNEs/Distance MBA).
  • Led in the design and set up of the MBA top up options for the financial professional bodies– ACCA, CIMA, CPA and CII (we now have 67 students on this pathway).
  • Currently leading the West Midlands Police Programme with a growing number of learners across 4 cohorts.
  • Co-Led and worked with the team that won the MoJ contracts, the DCMS contract, and the Herefordshire Council, Blakemore (Oct 2021, May 2022, Jan 2023 and Jan 2024), Netapp (Jan 2022 and 2023) contracts worth over £600,000.00.
  • Fostered and developed more than 2 new strategic level collaboration with organisations who now promote our programmes – (MoJ, Be Ready Group, 4 West Midlands NHS Trusts, West Midlands Air Ambulance).
  • Expanded our current portfolio of MBA pathways by developing 2 new MBA courses – (MBA Public Administration and the MBA in Global Trade and Investment for Commonwealth).
  • Developed a new strategic level collaboration with the Ministry of Defence (MoD).
  • Designed 5 new delivery models and the contextualised strategy in 2022 for the delivery of the MBA to ensure we met the unique needs of our growing numbers and clients demands.

Executive Education, Bids, Grants & Commercial Experience

  • I have co-chaired several key strategic Enterprise & Innovation programmes while being part of the academic team, they include the Cabinet Office’s Future Leaders Scheme (£1.5m over 3 intakes), the MoJ apprenticeship contract (Over £500,000 – 3 intakes), the Chevening Programme. I have led in the development and design of a new MBA pathway specifically for members of the Commonwealth, working alongside colleagues within the Coventry University Singapore Global hub, the outgoing CEO (Samantha Cohen) and Incoming CEO (Rosie Glazebrook) of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Innovation Council (CWEIC).
  • I have delivered a number of leadership and management programmes for private and public sector clients which include the Bill and Malinda Gates Foundation, RwandaAir, FCDO Leadership and Development Programmes, Future Leaders Scheme for the UK Government, CRRC Corporation China, SheCreatesAfrica, UK Civil Service, Standard Guardian Group, DWP, MoJ, DCMS, FCDO in India and Ethiopia, NHS, Scarborough Borough Council, Highways Agency, Bank of Ireland, West Midlands Police, The Nigerian Civil Service, National University of Singapore, Scottish Police Authority, and National Trust for Scotland (Scottish Heritage).
  • December 2024 Approved Project AGILE (Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning & Empowerment): Funded by the World Bank, $1.2Bn project operating in 18 states across Nigeria. ESRC IAA Early-Career Fellowships grant of £5,000.

Social Impact

  • I also advise for a number of charity and social enterprise organisations and the most notable amongst them is a foundation in Africa, which oversees over 21 sub grantee charities working within the Sub-Saharan African Region enabling the sub grantees to work collaboratively while building partnerships across West Africa.
  • Key Outputs
  • Capacity building training interventions to progress delegates from middle to senior management roles.
  • Reskilling of women, to develop the hard/technical and soft skills needed to become entrepreneurial & enhance public engagement, gain visibility, leverage networks, reach a wider audience.
  • The engagement of women informally through community groups to enable peer to peer mentoring (a form of apprenticeships) called boi boi which means working for several months/years within an established female owned business, to enable them to develop the technical know-how and the soft skills while being mentored (via the boi boi process) to create their own sustainable small-scale businesses, thereby becoming self-employed and financially self-sufficient.
