I was raised in Auburn, New York. When I was in fifth grade, it had the opportunity to attend a summer music camp in Moravia New York. At the end of the camp, we set a goal to race as much money as possible for the local food pantry. We were able to raise almost $1000 and that's when I decided I would be involved in community service. I joined an organization called Perform4Purpose And so far I have been part of a group of musically, talented youth, in Cayuga county who have been able to raise over one million dollars for organizations within our community. In addition, I have volunteered as a music instructor in our local community center and I was a volunteer at our local hunger task force for two years. Within those two years I learned a lot about the needs of my community. By the end of the second year we were making three times as many meals as we were when we started. I have always been very active in my community. This past year I joined the marching band at Auburn high school, and it was a great learning experience.
