Accomplishments

At Signal Peak Silica, I have consistently driven results. Key highlights of my contributions include:

  • Continuous improvements in the automation system (Programs debugging, HMI, total integration of devices, instrumentation corrections, Etc.). Corrections of errors and omissions of programming to reduce Downtime and increase Safety.
  • By combining the optimization of the Wet Plant and Dryers Bag Houses, teamwork with other managers, and mechanical improvements, the production rate per line was increased from 180 TPH to 300 TPH.
  • My contributions to improvements in Dry Plant 3 helped increase production, reduce Downtime and have a more reliable and easier to operate automation system.
  • Dryers BMS: Detection of failures caused by Fuel Air module in DP2 (this fault was there for years) helped reduce several hours of Downtime and ramp up. It reduced sudden stoppages and ensured that production was more constant and continuous.
  • I took the leadership to increase the reliability of actuators and instruments and implement a proper setup, calibration, scaling configuration, integration and tuning for each one of them. Also supervised installation and recommissioning.
  • Honeywell’s Slate and Fireye based Burner Management System full integration for dryers in Plant. FIRSTOUT, HOLD_REASON, LOCKOUT_REASON, PURGE_STATUS, Etc.
