Work History

CMM Programmer / Project Manager

GereMarie Corporation
09.2020 - Current
  • I'm currently working as a CMM programmer for an AS9100 & ISO13485 certified aluminum manufacturer
  • In addition, I'm also the project manager for the medical division, which Geremarie supplies to a large USA-based robotic surgical equipment provider
  • I'm in charge of the manufacturing, quality, assembly, and on-time delivery of these medical components
  • In order to achieve the optimization of these processes I helped integrate concepts of six sigma and lean manufacturing to streamline the sequences so they are simple, but also effective
  • For example establishing a kanban inventory workflow system, creating kaizen foam layouts for the assembly department so they always know where their tools are, or developing programs on the CMM to palletize inspection to where you can run multiple parts at a time and provide real time SPC data to trend for process capability and Gage R&R
  • All of these concepts are driven to help reduce time in which will help reduce cost and I hope to share and collaborate similar ideas within your company as well.

Quality Engineer

Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials
03.2017 - 08.2020
  • ISO9001 & AS9100 certified plastics manufacturer
  • Duties include conducting mechanical inspections, programming measurement plans via Zeiss calypso, ballooning drawings/blueprint layouts, directing MRB meetings, gemba walks/internal audits, issuing vendor RMA's and corrective actions, developing FAIR's and PPAP's, along with other functions that pertain in the quality sector
  • In the facility there are several types of CMMs, from programmable bridge style to 7 axis articulating arms
  • In addition, there was an OGP optical vision system, Mahr surface contour machine, and of course regular measuring equipment such as: calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, dial indicators, etc
  • These are just some of the tools that I used on a daily basis to perform first article, in-process, and final inspections
  • Mitsubishi Chemical manufactures many different parts for multiple industries like aerospace, medical, automotive, electronics
  • From small semiconductor parts to large labyrinth seals, I've seen many different types of blueprints so I have an adept understanding of conventional prints as well as GD&T prints
  • I enjoy working in a team oriented environment and continually endeavor myself and others to new heights to achieve company and personal goals

Tool Die Maker

Newko Prototypes Inc
04.2016 - 02.2017
  • Worked with the head design engineer and mainly did the setup and operations on traditional 3 axis Haas Mills, wire EDMs, and Mazak fiber optic laser
  • I have some experience with Mastercam programming but mainly did the setups
  • My department focused on fabricating prototypes, fixtures, and tool making with precise dimensions typically ranging within 50 millionths
  • Working in tool and die I not only learned to be a reliable machinist, but also a competent inspector
  • Seeing various blueprints and being able to properly interpret them was a must on the job, in addition to measuring the part/fixture before it's used in production or having to reverse engineer a part/fixture to problem solve and continuously improve processes.

CNC Machinist

Service Industries
03.2015 - 02.2016
  • Operated CNC Lathes and mills for a company that manufactured parts for the pharmaceutical industry
  • Majority of the parts were made from different metals and alloys like titanium, aluminum, stainless steel, beryllium, etc
  • We also had a manual department on the floor for tool and die making/metal forming
  • Frequently using tools such as Bridgeport mills, South Bend lathes, grinders, drill/break/punch presses
  • I started out in the manual department with simple tasks like reaming holes and eventually worked my way up to CNC and did setups and programming via Mastercam.

CNC Machinist

Piedmont Plastics
01.2014 - 03.2015
  • Programmed horizontal panel saws and operated CNC mills
  • Worked in the fabrication department creating parts made from various types of plastic and used basic power tools such as routers, drill presses, table saws, manual mills, and lathes to achieve certain projects
  • Other duties included edge finishing, welding, flame polishing, cold/hot bending.
