Eric Armstrong

Over 14 years of Mechanical Maintenance experience and 4 years of operations experience at Nucor Steel Berkeley. I have been able to grow and develop myself through learning multiple areas of the mill over my years at Berkeley. Having had the opportunity to work in operations at Pickle Line 2 and multiple maintenance groups at the mill, I have a more in depth understanding of the entire process and the importance of the quality interactions that need to happen between operation, maintenance and the other support groups. My previous position as Pickle Line Mechanical lead has developed my skills in scheduling, audits, involvement in reviews, contractor/supplier support, and continuous improvements. Currently I am in the role of Pickle line operations lead in which I cover the daily task of safety, quality, training, and operational improvements on the line. I have over 5 years of management experience with Advance Auto parts where I have managed multiple stores and was the sole person responsible for all operation aspects of the store. Experienced with leading and managing operational teams to achieve optimal performance. Utilizes strategic planning and resource allocation to drive efficiency and productivity. Track record of implementing process improvements and fostering collaborative team environment.
